The Procedure
A thin filament or probe that is about the size of the treated hair is expertly inserted into the hair follicle (the pore). The skin is not punctured and the insertion is not felt. A small current is applied and the hair releases and slides out of the follicle easily with a tweezer. Each hair is treated so that the germinating cells that cause the hair to grow are individually destroyed. It may seem like removing each hair individually would take a long time, but a skilled electrologist moves along quickly and accurately.
